The PTE Academic test is divided into three main parts, designed to assess English proficiency across listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills. The entire test takes approximately 3 hours and is fully computer-based.
1. Speaking & Writing (77–93 minutes)

Tasks include: Personal introduction, read aloud, repeat sentence, describe image, re-tell lecture, essay writing.

Focus: Pronunciation, fluency, grammar, vocabulary, written expression.
2. Reading (32–41 minutes)

Tasks include: Multiple-choice questions, re-order paragraphs, fill in the blanks.

Focus: Understanding of main ideas, details, inferences, and grammar.
3. Listening (45–57 minutes)

Tasks include: Summarize spoken text, multiple-choice questions, fill in the blanks, highlight incorrect words.
